Evan designs footwear.
In the summer of 2014, I started my footwear journey as a design intern at Stride Rite. This inspired me to do a footwear-based thesis in my senior year of college. After graduating with an Industrial Design degree in 2016, I spent a year at Timberland as a footwear design intern. Later, I joined PUMA as a design assistant where I eventually became a full time footwear designer in 2018. Since 2022 I have worked as an independent freelance designer.
Having spent time working across categories and through every step of the design process, I offer an expansive and versatile footwear skillset. That technical and design ability is bolstered by a lifelong curiosity for learning about new cultures, communities, and traditions.
Growing up as a Boston sports fan, the philosophies of Bill Russell and Red Auerbach built my understanding of what it means to succeed as a team. The countless hours spent at my local skatepark as a teen, practicing the same tricks day after day, taught me the value of self discipline. I never made it to the league or won the X Games, but I kept the lessons learned.
